LESSON Month 01-Day 06
This end times discipleship program is uniquely designed to make disciples for Christ using the Word and a simple process of multiplication while increasing your circle of friends and having fun.
Keep in mind that the disciples are called end times disciples because we are entering in to the last days and there is a desperate need for prepared kingdom workers who understand the times in which we live!
Weekly memory Scripture: Matthew 28:18-20.
Today’s Scripture: Matthew 5:27-48. Please Underline verses that will help you make 12 end times disciples for Jesus.
Identify in a way you can come back to for review what scripture from today’s reading that will help me make 12 disciples for Jesus. You may want to highlight the scripture in your bible or you may want to write it out – however you can best come back for reminder and review.
Disciple: Today’s scripture reading has some more of God’s gems.
Servant: Did you notice that the last verse summarizes the entire teaching?
D: Yes, “But you must always act like your Father in Heaven.” (verse 48)
S: What a challenge. God, please help us.
D: First, “… Be faithful in marriage.”
S: And don’t even think about anyone other than your mate.
D: Some religions teach, “… an eye for an eye” (verse 38), but Jesus has a radically different teaching about revenge, doesn’t He?
S: Yes, Jesus says in verse 30, “When someone slaps your right cheek, turn and let that person slap the other cheek.”
D: Jesus even says in verse 44, “I tell you to love your enemies and pray for anyone who mistreats you.”
S: The next verse says, “Then you’ll be acting like your Father in Heaven.”
D: I’m beginning to see why Jesus became the most influential person in the history of the world.
S: Follow the teachings of Jesus and you will make 12 for Jesus who do likewise. And, yes, Jesus Himself will give you eternal rewards.
D: As I understand it, I am a member of a 12 for Jesus family and, after training, I will start my own group of 12. Is that correct?
D: Will I always be a member of my original discipleship family?
D: Sounds good to me. Will the discipleship training teach me how to approach prospects for my 12?
S: Yes, you will learn easy ways to talk to people about Jesus and end times discipleship. Meanwhile, begin praying that God will prepare 12 wonderful disciples for you.
D: OK. How soon may I begin training my 12?
S: When you know what Jesus told His disciples and you are doing it (Matthew 28:20).
D: That’s why we’re reading the entire New Testament during these 12 months, right?
D: It’s important that I be a good example to my 12, isn’t it?
S: It is.
D: When can a mature Christian begin training their 12?
S: That’s up to God, the person and the servant to his/her family of 12. Meanwhile, let’s tell our friends about this kind of lifestyle.
