End Times Prayer for Breakthrough Part 2 – Three Reasons to Persevere in Prayer

For end times prayer breakthrough to happen we need to know the key to breakthrough prayer, why we must pray and how a person is to persevere to breakthrough.

In part 2, the term prayer for breakthrough in these last days is used to emphasize the point that we are indeed living in the last days.  While this article considers the present, its intent is to point to those days much closer to the return of the Lord.  Now is the time to strengthen ourselves for the confusion and chaos that is to come.

Here in Part 2 of breakthrough Prayer we will continue to look at the following scripture where we are told by Christ to Ask, Seek and Knock if we expect to have breakthrough in our prayer:

Matthew 7:7-8 (NIV)7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

There are three reasons to persevere for end times prayer breakthrough. These are crucial to know for our success in our everyday practical spiritual warfare throughout the end times in dealing with the schemes of the enemy.

1.  Prayer is conditional and Christ is to the point:

          If we ask, we receive.

If we do not ask, we do not receive.

          If we seek, we find.

If we do not seek, we do not find.

If we knock, it is opened to us.

If we do not knock, it is not opened to us.

"Ye have not because ye ask not" (James 4:3).

True prayer is persevering end times prayer for breakthrough. God knows our genuineness and sincerity by how much we persevere in prayer.

1)  We show disrespect to the Giver when we ask and walk away before receiving what we ask.

2)  We show our gross insincerity when we seek once or twice and stop.

3)  We leave any resident questioning when we knock once or twice and walk away before he comes or has time to open.

In Persevering end times prayer for breakthrough there is differences between the words ask, seek, and knock.

1.  The word "ask" says the following.

a.  We ask when there is a need or want.

b.  We ask when there is someone who has plenty and who can give what we need or want.

2.  The word "seek" says the following.

a.  We seek when we need or want something of value.

b.  We seek when we ourselves are responsible for finding what we need or want.

3.  The word "knock" says the following.

a.  We knock when we are shut out and need or want entrance.

b.  We knock when there is someone on the other side who can open to us.

2.  Every believer is heard.

It is not just those believers who are well known, that is the leaders and official laborers—whom God hears and answers, He hears everyone who "asks and seeks and knocks."

Does He hear the unbelievers?

Yes.

Why? Because He desires that none should perish and as we get deeper into the end times, it is His hearts desire that the difficulties faced by the unbelievers will turn them to Him.

3.  God cares much more than an earthly father cares.

God can be approached as Father in our end times prayer.

Above all others, He knows what a father should be.

Whatever good is within earthly fathers has come from Him. He made fathers. He put within their hearts an instinctive attachment and love and desire to nurture. Therefore, we can expect Him to be personally attached to us and to love and nurture us (Psalm 103:13).

Scripture references for end times prayer:

"And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it" (John 14:13-14).

"Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full" (John 16:24).

"But if from thence thou shalt seek thelord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul" (Deut. 4:29).

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chron. 7:14).

"I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me" (Proverbs 8:17).

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not" (Jeremiah 33:3).
