LESSON Month 01-Day 09

LESSON Month 01-Day 09

This end times discipleship program is uniquely designed to make disciples for Christ using the Word and a simple process of multiplication while increasing your circle of friends and having fun.

Keep in mind that we are entering in to the last days and there is a desperate need for prepared kingdom workers who understand the times in which we live!

Weekly memory Scripture: Matthew 22:37-39.

Today’s Scripture: Matthew, Chapter 8.  Please Underline verses that will help you make 12 end times disciples for Jesus.

Identify, in a way you can come back to for review, what scripture from today’s reading that will help me make 12 end times disciples for Jesus.  You may want to highlight the scripture in your bible or you may want to write it out – however you can best come back for reminder and review.

Disciple:  In Matthew 8, Jesus finally came down from the mountain but large crowds followed Him.

Servant:  Jesus first healed a man with leprosy.  That would be like healing someone with AIDS today.

D:  The man had faith that Jesus could heal him.  He said in verse 2, “…Lord, you have the power to make me well… .”

S:  The army officer in verses 5-13 had faith in Jesus also.  He said in verse 8, “… Just give the order, and my servant will get well.”

D:  Jesus did and the servant was healed, long distance!

S:   Then, in verses 14-17, Jesus healed Peter’s mother-in-law, delivered many people suffering from demons and “…healed everyone who was sick.”

D:  As Jesus and his disciples were crossing the Sea of Galilee, a strong storm hit them.  The disciples woke Jesus with, “… Lord, save us!  We’re going to drown!” (verse 25)

S:  “But Jesus replied, ‘Why are you so afraid?  You surely don’t have much faith’.”

D:  “Then He got up and ordered the wind and the waves to calm down.  And everything was calm.”  (verse 26)

S:  His disciples were amazed and said, Who is this?  Even the wind and the waves obey Him.”  (verse 27)

D:  We can still ask that question today, “Who is this?”

S:  We know the answer, Jesus is God.”

DI’m curious.  What do disciples of Jesus believe?

S:  Here’s one summary of our beliefs:

We believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of Heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.  He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.  He descended to the dead.  On the third day He rose again, He ascended into Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.  He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.  Amen.

DI’ve heard that in church, right?

S:  Yes, it’s been used for centuries.

D:  Didn’t Manny Hinojosa, your disciple, make a list of 12 basic Christian principles?

S:  Yes.  We’ll look at them tomorrow.

Circle the main part of today’s lesson that will help me make 12 end times disciples for Jesus.

My prayer for today that will help me make 12 end times disciples for Jesus who do likewise is:
